Protected Trustees
The Israeli Center for Protection is working to establish a network of volunteers, community representatives, in collaboration with local authorities.
These volunteers act as agents of change and mediators between the establishment and the communities.
Center Fellows
Due to the severe effects of sexual assault, many victims require long-term treatment. Treatment focuses on addressing the specific needs of the patients, dealing with post-traumatic consequences, and building a sense of trust and confidence. However, among adult victims, the waiting time for treatment is up to two years. In order to shorten and enforce this, the center is promoting the establishment of a database of therapists from all over the country who are willing to take on patients on a pro bono basis. The center's staff carefully selects the therapists to whom it refers and even mediates between the patients and the therapists.
